I fell in love with the lines of this desk! I painted it black and distressed it to give it a warm rustic look. It is a very solid piece of furniture and well made. The drawers are all dovetailed and in fantastic condition. I put new hardware on and of course several layers of polyurethane for durability.

Beautiful Black Hutch

I've had a lot of requests for black, so here it is!! This is a beautiful black hutch that has just been refinished in a classic black and has been distressed to show the beautiful brown undertones of the original wood finish. I have replaced the back paneling with beadboard to add a little extra charm to this piece of furniture. The hardware was also replaced to match and of course I put several layers of polyurethane on for durability.

The dimensions are 43 1/2" wide, 19" deep and 70" tall.

Here comes another hutch! This one is a little smaller than the last two I have done and it will be black. It is 43 1/2" wide, 19" deep and 70" tall. The top has two shelves. The bottom has three small drawers, one large drawer and two good size cupboards with a shelf. I am planning on posting it in the next day or two....

This is a gorgeous solid wood hutch that has just been refinished in an antique white/cream color distressed to show beautiful dark brown undertones. The inside of the top of the hutch, drawers and inside of the base have also been restored. I was sure to keep the original rustic hardware that came with this piece. Here we go again! Another gossip chair/table that I just couldn't resist when Emily forwarded me a picture of it! I thought I would keep this one a little lighter and brighter than the past ones I have done. It has been finished in a beautiful light green paint topped off with my usual polyurethane for extra protection. The fabric I used is a thick quilt like fabric that is soft yet durable. The dimensions of this chair are 24" wide, 18 1/2" deep and 31" tall.

Adorable Pink & Brown Vanity

Kitchen Hutch

This is a beautiful kitchen hutch that I just refinished in an antique white. I also used a dark stain on this to accent some of the details of this piece. The middle display shelves have grooves to display plates. The two glass doors on top each have one shelf inside. The bottom has a total of 5 drawers and two cupboards with no shelves. Like all of my furniture I have finished it with several layers of polyurethane for protection.

Charming Antique Buffet

Key Rack

Does this sound familiar to anyone? I get my two girls ready, myself ready, pack the kids bags to head out the door, track down my purse that is never in the same place, walk out the door, put my girls in their car seats and then I realize....I have no idea where my car keys are!!! I used to have such a great memory until I became a mom. What happened?? Keys are the one thing I just can't keep track of. One day I came across http://www.poppiesatplay.blogspot.com/ (One of my new favorite blogs). There was a project on this site that was titled "Easiest Artwork on the planet." That sounded like the only kind of artwork I might have a chance of being capable of. Then it dawned on me. What if I was actually able to do some artwork that I wouldn't mind displaying in my home?!?! Then I thought if it looks bad, is there something I can do with it to give it a purpose other than something awful to look at?


Then it came together. My sister had given me some awesome decorative keys for my birthday. I needed a place to keep my keys. So I combined the artwork with my need for a place to keep my keys and this is what I came up with. I actually really like it and I think I have saved myself a good five to ten minutes every time I leave the house!


If anyone is interested I would love to make some more of these. I have a lot of colors and patterns to choose from for the trees. The cost would be $15.00.

Beautiful Black End Table

I painted this end table black but that just wasn’t enough! I added a beautiful off white design on the front that adds that extra pop that I was looking for. I think that this table would be a classy addition to any room! I also thought it would look beautiful in a bathroom with a basket on top to hold your towels.

I painted this rocking chair black and reupholstered it in a fun black and off white fabric. The edges were finished with a black cording to match. It is a fun accent chair and matches perfect with the black end table as well. This chair also has the polyurethane top coat for durability.
